Happy Fourth of July!

Since today's date is July Fourth, also celebrated as Independence Day in the United States of America, it's a good day for brands to easily stand out based on their version of celebration.

While some brands have "America" or "independence" in their names or taglines, others choose to mark the day by adding some red, white, or blue colors or designs to their product lines.

One stand-out brand that deserves attention is Krispy Kreme. This delicious food brand marks holidays by adding color and pizzazz to its doughnuts. This year, the brand introduced its "Star Spangled Sweetness Collection" doughnuts:

  • Freedom Flag Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut hand-dipped in white icing and decorated with patriotic red icing stripes and blue and gold sprinkles.

  • Cotton Candy Sparkler Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut hand-dipped in blue icing and cotton candy sugar and decorated with white and red buttercreme dollops.

  • Firework Cookies and Kreme Filled Doughnut: An unglazed doughnut filled with Cookies and Kreme, hand-dipped in red icing and decorated with a blue icing swirl and rocket candy piece.

  • Chocolate Iced with Patriotic Sprinkles Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing and topped with patriotic sprinkles.

This year, customers can also get a free doughnut. According to the brand's website, "We’re sweetening your Independence Day this year with a FREE Original Glazed doughnut when you visit our shop wearing red, white, and blue! Valid 7/4 only at all participating shops in shop and drive thru, limit one per person. Not available online."

Unfortunately, there was a disclaimer on the brand's website, "Star Spangled Sweetness Collection doughnuts available in shop, drive thru and online for pickup and delivery 6/21/24 through 7/4/24 at participating U.S. Krispy Kreme shops and is subject to product availability. Not offered in Puerto Rico or other non-participating locations."

If you miss out this year, there's always tomorrow for regular doughnuts.

Happy Fourth of July!
